How to care for your eyes after LASIK surgery.

October 29, 2011

Here is an article on how to care for your eyes after LASIK published in Shape Magazine in 2008.

I print out a whole list of dos and dont’s for my patients to remind them on how to care for their eyes after surgery. Here are some of the more important points: Remember not to rub your eyes in the first week as this may cause the cornea flap to dislodge. Be careful not to get foreign material into your eyes in order to prevent infection. Follow the instructions of your eye doctor with regards to the frequency of the eye drops.
